Lollipop Chainsaw

Lollipop Chainsaw

When I first saw the trailer for the game, I was thinking what the hell is this about????
Well have a read and I will tell you.

First impression
So I got the game, popped it in and, wow! I must tell you, the very first thing that it reminded me of was Buffy the Vampire Slayer - but the zombie version. You control this very stunning- looking cheerleader and basically just kick ass all the way.Who would not love doing that? And I must admit that the humor is great though at times it is very itchy. But come on gents, who complains about some itchy stuff in games when most games have full frontal sex scenes these days.

Getting in to it
The game is a fast-paced, action game where you hack and slash every zombie that comes before you. You are equipped with a chainsaw and skills that you have learnt from some random Chinese guy, Morikawa Sensei, who is a sushi chef. And on top of that, you also have your boyfriends head stuck to your hip and yes, he is still alive somehow.

You can actually finish this game by pressing one button repetitively but that is not what it is about. It is about having some fun and just enjoying it. I call games like this my quick arcade games.

It is definitely worth a shot if you like these types of games and you want to have fun while passing the time,  But then again, as always, don’t take my word for it. Go try it out and decide for yourself, if the trailers or pictures appeal to you.

Anime shorts - Psycho Pass

So with Anime Shorts, I will not go into heavy detail and spoil the whole story. I will be giving just a short introduction.

Psycho Pass is set in the future as a science fiction series / suspense. It was definitely one of those anime's that once you see the first episode you just want to see more.  The anime itself has a lot of style.

There are 3 main characters but for me, when you get halfway through it, you feel like you have established a bond with almost every one, which is great. So you have the following happening in the series: futuristic guns that can scan you, psychotic killers running a muck and a highly intelligent AI system that governs everything in the City.

This anime was really refreshing and a must-see. And if sci-fi is not your cup of tea, then just have a look anyway.

Batman Arkham Origins Xbox360

Batman Arkham Origins Xbox360

I picked this one up as a second hand game, and so far I have been a fan of the whole series. So lets get to it, then shall we?

First impressions

After the first Batman game, Arkham Asylum, you always have that thought of how can the sequel (or for that matter the 3rd game) be better, and how will they top an already great game. When I started up the game you could see they were following the same great recipe as the previous game, and there is nothing wrong with it. Batman looks great, the intro looks great; actually it is hard to see anything that looks bad, from graphics to the flow of the story and the controls are really nice. But it is hard to believe that a developer would stick with the same formula and not even try to make any changes.

Getting in to it

So being a fan of Batman myself and loving the way he is always a smart ass and you know he is never wrong. Even where he teams up with Superman, Batman usually saves the day, despite not having an ounce of super powers. And every Justice League member is basically afraid of him. So I do have a high standard when it comes to his story's and how they portray the dark knight.  Playing this game so far was great. Everything I loved from the previous games was in it and it makes the game just that good. But I've left you all hanging with a question of whether the developers would just keep with the same thing.

Well, when playing you can see where they incorporated a new system of how he solves his cases. You literately put together the puzzle and you can then fast forward or rewind the scene and it looks and feels amazing. I felt like some futuristic detective with all this awsome gear at my disposal. But if this is not your cup of tea then it might become a bit frustrating as there is always that small thing that you miss and you could get upset for not finding it, meanwhile it was staring you right in the face.

When faced with 20 thugs and you take them down like the puny flies that they are without even breaking a sweat, then you know that you have reached a level of bad-assness that none can compare to. The motion of how he jumps around and counters every attack is just.....well, bad ass.
The controls are smooth and easy going when it comes to the fight sequences. I don't know if there is anything more you can do to improve on such a great system.

The story starts off a bit strange as you are just thrown into this game, and suddenly you have a hit on you and some of the most notorious bad guys in the Batman series are out to get you. But then you get hit with a suprise: how this actually was made possible. But I won't let the cat out of the bag as it was great to see the twist unfold.

All in all this is so far a highly enjoyeble game and will say it is a must try for anyone.

Please leave some coments on what your thoughts are and how you experienced the game.
